☿ □ ⚳Mercury Square Ceres
You explain care instead of giving it, and you want your nurturing explained back to you. It works about as well as it sounds.

What This Aspect Means
This aspect puts the part of you that talks, sorts, and figures things out in direct conflict with the part of you that wants to feed, hold, and grow things. Mercury wants to name what is happening. Ceres just wants to tend it. When they square off, every act of care gets run through a translator first, and something gets lost in the crossing.
You likely learned early that nurture in your house came with commentary attached. Maybe you were told why you were being comforted instead of just comforted. Maybe love arrived as instruction: eat this because it's good for you, rest because you need it, here is the reasoning behind the hug. So some circuit in you now believes that care has to be justified in words before it counts, and that anything offered wordlessly might not be real.
Life keeps handing you situations where you have to choose: explain the feeling or just feed the person. Analyze the need or just meet it. The recurring question is whether you can let sustenance happen without narrating it, and whether you can receive care without needing a briefing on why it's being given.
How It Plays Out in Relationships
With people you love, this shows up as a mismatch in the currency of care. You might find yourself giving advice when someone wanted soup, or offering a well-reasoned solution to a problem that only needed a hand on the back. Partners and family can experience your concern as an audit rather than warmth, even when the warmth is completely sincere underneath the words.
The reverse happens too. When someone tries to nurture you, you may start cross-examining it: why are you doing this, what do you want from me, does this even make sense. Care that isn't accompanied by an explanation can feel suspicious rather than safe. People close to you learn, often through trial and error, that you need both the meal and the footnote.
Spun Gold
Once you stop treating explanation as a prerequisite for care, you become genuinely gifted at a rare thing: nurture that also makes sense. You can tell someone exactly what they need and why it matters, which means your care lands with a kind of clarity most people never offer. Used well, this is the difference between comfort that soothes for an hour and comfort that actually changes how someone understands their own situation.
Advice for the Road
Practice giving care with no explanation attached at least some of the time. Make the meal, offer the ride, sit with someone, and say nothing about your reasons. Separately, practice receiving care without asking why. Let a few gestures land unexamined. You don't have to choose between thinking and tending forever, but you do have to prove to yourself that one can happen without the other standing guard.
