What Makes You Tick

What You Need (Even If You'd Never Admit It)

You need a person or two who will let you think out loud without trying to fix the thinking, since you already have that job covered. But you also need permission to leave something unfinished and imperfect without treating it as a personal failure. Stop editing the feeling before you've finished having it. Pick one unfinished thing this week and let it stay unfinished on purpose, just to prove to yourself you won't die from it. Talk less about what's wrong with your life and more about what's actually happening in it, those are different conversations and you keep having only the first one.
