Someone secure enough to let you go all the way to the edge of a feeling without either following you off it or pulling you back too soon. You need real stakes more than new scenery, though you'll swear up and down it's the scenery you're after.

You also need permission to stop. To let one thing be finished instead of cannibalized for parts on the way to the next quest. Stillness feels like defeat to you. It isn't. Some of your best transformations happened in rooms you wanted to leave.

Stop starting things you don't intend to finish. Pick one fight, one relationship, one pursuit that actually matters and stay in it past the point where leaving would be easier. The depth you're chasing only shows up on the far side of boredom, and you keep bailing right before the good part.
