Capricorn Sun, Libra Moon, Capricorn Rising
You climb the mountain because it's hard, then privately spend an hour deciding which trail looks nicer. Competence with taste, basically.
What Makes You Tick
You are organizing your life around a worthy goal, and you will suffer for it gladly, but the goal has to have proportion. Raw achievement bores you a little. What you actually want is to build something that holds its shape, something fair, something that looks as good as it functions. The discipline is real. The hunger for it to also be beautiful, balanced, correctly weighted, is the part people miss.
Underneath the steady climb is a second, quieter process: constant weighing. Every decision gets tried on from multiple angles before you commit, because you know, somewhere, that choosing one door means the death of the others, and you'd like to make peace with that before you move. Capricorn will grind through the hard way regardless. Libra just wants the hard way to also be the graceful one.
The sacrifice question that follows you around, who gets the fruits of all this labor, and why, doesn't get answered by working harder. It gets answered by figuring out what you actually value versus what merely looks impressive. You suspect this. You keep postponing the conversation with yourself.
The You Everyone Meets
You read as almost aggressively competent. Composed, dependable, unhurried even under load, the person others assume can handle one more thing because you always seem to. There's polish to it too, a social ease that keeps the granite from looking cold. You're diplomatic where a straight Capricorn might just be blunt. People trust you with responsibility and also enjoy having you at the table.
What they don't see is the negotiation happening behind the calm face. You look decided. You are, in fact, often mid-deliberation, just conducting it silently and presenting the outcome as if it had never been in question.
Your Blind Spots
You use the appearance of certainty to avoid admitting you're stuck. The mountain gets climbed with total conviction partly because climbing is easier than sitting with an unresolved choice, and you've built an entire persona around never looking unresolved. People experience you as decisive. You know better.
You also let duty stand in for desire. It's simpler to say what's required than what you want, especially when what you want might disappoint someone or cost you the appearance of fairness. Ask what you'd choose if no one were grading you on it. You'll notice how long it takes you to answer.
What You Need (Even If You'd Never Admit It)
Actual leisure, not the productive kind, not a hobby you're quietly optimizing. Something aesthetically pleasing that serves no function: a well-made room, music, a walk with no destination. You need this more than you'll admit because you've convinced yourself rest has to be earned.
You also need someone in your life who will make the small decisions for you sometimes, without asking you to relitigate it, so you can spend your weighing capacity on things that matter. And you need at least one relationship where you can be visibly torn without performing having it together.
Advice for the Road
Pick the door. Let the other one close without eulogizing it. The climb doesn't need to be miserable to count, and the goal doesn't need to be joyless to be worthy, so stop treating ease as evidence you're not trying hard enough. Decide faster on the small things so you have energy left for the real ones.
