You need permission to stop, not as a reward for finishing but as its own discipline, scheduled like everything else you take seriously. And you need someone who can translate your visions back to you occasionally, tell you which ones are signal and which are just static, because left alone you'll follow either one with equal conviction.

Advice for the Road

Pick one thing to be right about this year and let the rest go. Tell one person the actual unedited version of what's going on with you before you change the subject again. And put rest on the calendar like it's a deliverable, because if it isn't scheduled, you will never once choose it on your own.
